What Browser (NW)?

Wondering what browser you use on your NETWORK?

 

and if it is no IE do you find it easy to administer?

Ah, whoops - I thought you just meant me, not EVERYONE. I put FF (as that's what I use) but the network users have IE7.

 

Take one off FF and stick one on IE7.

We are using Internet Exploder 7 on the network.

 

On my machine in the office, I use Firefox because I mainly do web development. (If your web developer and don't use Firefox, your mad!)

 

We looked at deploying Firefox once acrossed the network but couldn't find a way to lock it down for students like you could IE.

We use the repackaged Firefox as kindly supplied by Michael [see this thread: Deploying Firefox]

 

Although having said that we do not give it to the students: Just personal preference on my part.

Looking at deploying that repackaged Firefox package soon, but currently just using IE on the network. Although I use Chrome and Firefox as my browsers of choice

I use Chrome [Windows] and Chromium [ubuntu] at home for preference.

IE7 across the network here. Would love to use FF, except it doesn't transparently authenticate with our internal webserver for our helpdesk, or our internet proxy so it would make life a lot more complex for the users having to re-authenticate everywhere.

It does if you turn the feature on. IIRC you can do taht in the about:config page
