I've looked throught the other threads but most of them were for the domain environment, and im trying to install it on a workstattion so I can include it in my image. I have the bginfo.exe and a bginfo.bat file in a folder called bginfo in the C:\.... I have a copy of that bginfo.bat file in the startup folder. The script in the bat file is...c:\bginfo\bginfo.exe /timer:0

Everytime I log on as a user says "cannot find the configuration file c:\bginfo\bginfo.bgi file". Says do I want to create it, I click yes and says "error loading c:\bginfo\bginfo.bgi file". Do I need to create this file or can i run this program without that file?

By double clicking bginfo.exe manually, you can then create your custom bgi file in terms of background colour and text as well as many other options :)

The funny thing is that it works fine when I log in as administrator. Just get that message when i log in as a user. Any help?

You may have put it to start up when that user logs on. You would get the same problem with an administrator account if you placed it under the 'All Users' profile.

Thats where I placed the bat file. Its in the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"

That's a bit strange, but still you should create a bgi file (as above) and you should receive no errors at all.

Worked fine. Thanks guys!!!!
