Ntfs permissions on webpage

I’ve written a basic website for the school governors to download documents and policies. I’ve turned off anonymous access and set the ntfs permissions to only allow admin and governors to access the page.

 

Pdf files open in the browser no problem but the problems start when a word doc file is selected to be opened. The logon box keeps popping up when the governor has already logged on. Just clicking cancel closes the logon box but it’s very annoying to have to do this.

 

 

Any ideas?
