Just been pondering, as you do, about wireless printers and Ruckus.

From what I understand all Ruckus access points have the same SSID, although you can create multiple, and work together to form the network. I've read that Ruckus generates network keys at random. Is it possible to create an SSID with a 'static' key for printers and such like?

This is forward planning. If I had access to the ZD I could probably check myself.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, yes it is possible to create an SSID with a "static" passphrase used for any Wi-Fi enabled device.

The system will only generate random keys if you have specified your SSID to use dynamic pre-shared keys, this is kind of a 802.1x solution for people without a RADIUS server.

Thanks

Anyone got the 8.1 user guide? The download on the website is busted it seems.

Can you please post the direct and indirect link you are using for the guide you want?

Thanks

Stuart
