120 New Computers Needed

Need Advice & Quotes If Possible

 

Nedeed New Computers In 4 Rooms (30 Computers In Three Rooms, 18 In Another + Some Spare)

 

Old Ones are P4 512MB DDR

 

So Upgrading RAM Will Be Too Expensive Because Its Not DDR2, Also WOuld Have To Upgrade The VIdeo Card That SUpport Areo

 

Want To Upgrade To Windows 7 Around The School

 

So These Will Be No Good Now, So Need A List Of Companents (Or A Quote) To Hand To The Boss, Cant See Him Be Happy Upgrading 4 Rooms, But Its Needed

 

Not Letting Him Order Computers This Time, We Now Have 20 Computers For ECDL With Crappy Intel Atoms In Them Because Of Him

- Case, Got To be VERY Similar To This Size, To Fit Onto The Brackets Under The Desk Work Surface (Unless You Have New Brackets That Will Fit Onto The Case Selected) Buy HCB01 Desktop* from CCL - Online Retailer of the Year 2008, 2007 & 2006 for laptops, desktops and computer hardware

 

- Min Of 2GB Ram (4GB Would Be Nice, Future Proof Then)

 

- Hard Drive Size, Can Be Very Small, Sata2 (Maybe A Small SSD 32GB?)

 

- No Screens Needed (Would Like To Upgrade Our 15 Inch 1024x768 Res Screens But We Dont Have The Space For BIgger Screens)

 

- CPU - Intel Prefered, Fast Core Duo 2

 

- Graphics - Intergrated Should Be Fine

 

- Motherborad - At Least 945G Chipset For Areo (If Intel CPU), Would Prefere Something A Bit Newer If Possible Has That Chipset Is Getting Old Now

 

- No DVD Drives Needed

 

- Not Sure If We Need Mice & Keyborad, But If At A Decent Price, Why Not (Defo USB If So)

Look at VMview 4 and use your older equipment and spend the money on a few Virtual Servers on VM View 4.

 

Has anyone out there got experience of this working for them?
