NetworkGeezer Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 If you don't mind parting with about £13 then have a look at Transparent Screen Lock Microsoft used to do a similar utility in the Windows 2000 resource kit but I don't if they ever produced Windows XP/2003 versions.
Irazmus Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 How about setting it as a screen saver? A quick google brings up Web-Screen-Saver which claims to be turn powerpoints into screensavers. It's not free, but there seems to be a free trial version, and if it'll do, the licence is only $10. I've not tried it myself, but a screensaver seems the simplest solution to me.
OverWorked Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I did this once for a display for a parents evening. I just set it running, then removed the keyboard and mouse before going home. (Probably not what you'd want for a long-term solution, though).

NetworkGeezer Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Make sure the logged in account is a restricted user not Power User and defintely not an administrator. In the days of USB input devices you can't be too careful. You may want to setup an auto login in case of restart.
