delprof again....

Had a look but can't find the awnser on here, just been clearing some profiles from 1 or 2 machines using the usual in the command prompt delprof /p /d:60 the problem being that on one machine I only get the error 'delprof is not an recognized internal or external command, operable program or batch file, yes delprof is installed, I've reinstalled delprof but makes no diffrence still the same error:doh:, no joy if I try to do it remote from another machine. Please Help:o

Have you not tried running delprof remotely.

 

Put delprof on your machine and then create a del.bat and put the following in the bat file.

 

delprof /q /i /c:\\machinename

Glad to be able to help. I tend to script a lot of things using command shell, so that is something I'm used to seeing when I typo a command.

so I am trying to learn how to script, particularly a delprof script that will run on multiple computers in a classroom at logoff however since I have heard that the profile is still locked during logoff, maybe at shutdown. I know nothing about the code to generate a script or write a batch file.

 

Is it possible that someone might be able to teach me a little something that would help me to accomplish this task. I just got a new job and my boss wants just the script needed to run delprof on the student machines automatically.

 

so far what I think I need is as follows:

 

chdir "pathname"

delprof /i /q /c:\\computer name

delprof /i /q /c:\\computer name

delprof /i /q /c:\\computer name

delprof /i /q /c:\\computer name

delprof /i /q /c:\\computer name ------>I am under the impression that I continue to add lines for each separate computer name

 

I believe this is code for a batch file, but I don't even know where to create a batch file and if this is all the code that is required.
