Federation IT Manager

37 hours per week, all year round

Grade 5 (Starting salary £32,800)

 

We are looking for a forward thinking and self-motivated IT Manager to lead the integration of IT systems across our academies. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills; be responsible for maintaining and developing our IT infrastructure, including our Learning Platform; and will manage a support team of five. Previous experience of school IT systems and project management would be advantageous.

 

The Ridings Federation of Academies comprises the Winterbourne International Academy (1880 students) and Yate International Academy (600 students). Both academies offer all ability education to 11 to 18 year olds, with five specialisms across both sites.

I feel that the remuneration package for such a responsible position over 2 academies with only 4 staff to acheive the smooth operation of both sites is a little on the low side. The qualifications required or desired by the Ridings Federation also point to someone with quite high expectations of salary from a managerial background with IT experience.

If I were personally looking at this position I would be expecting the salary to be at least £45k starting point.

 

This is just my opinion and not meant to offend in any way.

I have to agree - It's the sort of position an experienced NM may be interested in, but I'm not looking to relocate and take a pay drop. £42k would be a reasonable start for that sort of responsibility.

I've worked in this school before, with a third party company. Was for about 3 months. Did not enjoy it one bit. That was about 3 years ago though.
