Moodle Hide First Name

I'm sure it is simple but is there any way to hide first names for staff? Some are making noises about not liking them being up on Moodle & of course they all got imported when we linked with AD.

 

Currently my thinking is that if they are not happy they can change it to Mr or Mrs themselves.

We had the same problem i did this.

 

Synced all users using the LDAP script.

 

Export staff list from AD.

 

With abit of trickery in Excel make a csv put replace the first name with mr, ms, miss etc...

 

uploaded the csv and it will update staff accounts.

 

in the LDAP settings set it so it only picks up the first name when the account is created in moodle.
