We have a nearly 230 Brand New Stone Computers, they all have realtek RTL8168/8111 Gigabit ethernet Nics. You can enable WOL from device manager, by opening up properties of the nic, going to advanced and select wake on lan after shutdown and selecting enable. but to be honest i would rather not do that for 230 machines! so was wondering if anybody knew what registry entries it might alter to enable it, so i could run a script at startup that would enable wol for all the machines.

Any Ideas

The important settings are

* In the BIOS of each machine

* Possibly under the power management tabs in the properties of the NIC in device manager ( I think - could do with confirmation of this )

Depicus

If your motherboard manufacturer has a utility you may be able to do it remotely but not sure on this
