Hi Guys,

I am hoping that someone out there can help me out. I have installed WSS in a simple farm (two servers) the first server is hosting the administration site and the second server which also have SQL installed is hosting the sharepoint site. I have created 4 accounts in AD setup account, farm account, search service account and search content account. The setup account is a member of the administrators group on both servers. SQL 2005 standard is installed using the default instance and using the LATIN_GENERAL_CI_AS_KS_WS collation setting. Have also configure SQL surface area.

I have added the setup account to SQL login and make it a member of the SQL db_creator and db_securityadmin. I ran setup on the first server which complets successfully. The administration site opens up successfully. I then ran setup on the second server after setup completes i start the search service, create a new web application, create a site collection and the site list. Having done all this when i tried to access the site i get the error message cannot connect to the configuration database. Can some please help me to identify where i have gone wrong.

Any help is greatly appreciated
