TechSupp Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I have a FOG server (Ubuntu) installed on a CachePilot (better than its original use as an Espresson server!) and its working OK but as it has two network ports can I utilise them together to create a better speed to image the PC's. I am using a 24 port Linksys (model SRW224G4) switch between the Cachepilot and the Clients. Anyone got any ideas about how to set it up? As far as I have read on the Cisco (Linksys) site about the switch, it is capable of doing it, but most of the setting s I can see are Greek to me
FN-GM Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Ah, doing this is called teaming. You need to install some software. What network cards do you have? Not all network cards support teaming.
eduabncs Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 And don't forget that the switch it connects to has to support it, and also be configured to know about. it. *Suck eggs comes to mind for somw reason!
