mullet_man Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 We run enrichment classes that are not part of the school day on a Wednesday, but we are having a problem recording the pupils who attend, a paper based system doesn't work, a little database I created didn't work. We use SIMs, how do other schools that run enrichment programs where the students have the choice to go home or stay for the enrichment programs record that they are in school?
Stuart_C Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I beleive that there's a clubs/activities/extra cirrucular module in the works for SIMS. Basically does attendence/cover for non lesson things. Can't remember when it's out though I know there will be a cost for it.
mullet_man Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Cheers Stuart C, sounds interesting will see if there is any information on Support Net now. Cheers
russdev Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 We have added at the moment a lesson 6 to the day and we use that to record the attendance. Russ

I know you pain, we have over 40 different activities students swap every term and its a nightmare to keep track of, we also have 10 activities that happen off site (golf, ice skating, cycling, extra chance to do DoE etc)
mullet_man Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 How does that work exactly Russ? We need the attendance to not effect as it's not a traditional lesson. Cheers stevo
