Well well well... barely a month into the academic year and we have a new release of Smart Notebook and the associated drivers!

SMART - SMART Notebook software,Windows operating system

We've had a fair few problems this year so far after upgrading to the last release (SP4 drivers and SP2 software), I wonder if this has anything to do with it???

Right pain in the backside to be releasing updates so soon after summer, might try it on the board that's playing up and see what happens...

It doesn't have to be a pain .. they also offer a solution to help your deploy an MSI to upgrade the boards and the like at startup. It's how I look after the upgrades for the IWBs in my school.

They release an update, I download and run it through their handy piece of software for network deployment, add it to the relevant GPO and et voila ..

I'll see if I can find a link tomorrow when I'm back at that school instead of a promethean based one .. lol ..

Already using the admin kit but by the time I've checked no-one was trying to use the board while the upgrade was going through I might as well check everything over manually.

If I trusted it I'd send everything out via SMS but I prefer to be 100% sure everything is good as the boards are so vital for us.

Can't remember on drivers but don't you have to uninstall the old version first before doing an upgrade or was only if anything older than v10 was installed?
