AnnDroyd Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 We want to restrict the number of recipients that a student can send an email to (in order to stop chain mail, etc). However we need staff to be able to send to an unlimited number of people so that global distribution lists are not affected. We have tried to do this by setting the default value in Exchange System Manager to 5 recipients, then manually changing the value for each member of staff to around 250. Unfortunately, the default restriction still applies to staff. Is this a known issue with Exchange 2003? Is there a better way of achieving this?
mac_shinobi Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 not familiar with exchange but just wondering / curious if you can setup groups, if so you may be able to add staff to one group and students to another and set restrictions to said groups applicably
AnnDroyd Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 You don't have groups as such. All you can change is the default setting, then over-ride this for individuals. It appears to be the individual setting that isn't working in our case.
