VOIP LAN to Internal Phone line

Hi all,

 

Does anyone know if its possible to get a VOIP phone that would be able to comunicate with our internal phone system?

We have a computer room at the other side of the school and have been told in no uncertin terms that it will be to expensive to install a traditional internal phone.

Will be contacting our supplier soon but thought there might be some ideas here first .

I didn't get as far as implementing it, but I looked at doing something similar.

 

Zoom make doofers that will plug into a normal phone socket and then forward calls to a VOIP phone.
