Homer Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Hi guys, I have a question to pose, does anybody else here use BDD07 (comes with SCCM07) to deploy their desktops? If so, how do we go about getting it to clean up after itself so to speak? It leaves Sysprep and MININT folders in the root of the C:\ drive, I have tried a simple run command task in the sequence to delete it but it did not work. Will this need to be run in a batch file to work?! All ideas welcome Cheers, Steve
ZeroHour Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Hi I have not really used BDD but we are about to roll out SCCM and my images dont appear to have this problem? How are you capturing the images? with a build and capture task? I assume this is xp clients?
powdarrmonkey Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 They get deleted when sysprep runs after imaging.
Homer Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 for some reason they don't with me monkey, they leave files in the folers too O.o Zero... we don't use SCCM for it at the moment, something to work on but they are xp clients but it's not a capture/reinstall, just a build from scratch. i don't know if it's BDD07... but it says solution accelerators, and i'm not quite sure what suite of products this comes from?!
browolf Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 using MDS we had these folders on our machines too, I had a startupscript to delete the file containing passwords and left the rest.
powdarrmonkey Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Hmm, works for me.. (I don't use SCCM though, that might be it).
