resize desktop icons without mouse wheel

Normally, I would just hold down ctrl, and scroll the mouse wheel up or down to increase or decrease the icon size on the desktop. Unfortunately, the mousepad of my laptop doesnt work to full functionality, and the scroll part of it doesnt seem to work in windows 7.

 

Is there another way to shrink the desktop icon size?

Right click on desktop, view, small/medium/large icons

hmm cheers, thatll do for now, but with the scroll wheel theres loads of increments they can be.
