rocknrollstar Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Hi, Besides the obvious way of looking at the battery meter and watching it over time, is there any way to find out how much life a laptop battery has in it? E.g. software solution?
RabbieBurns Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 both my windows and ubuntu boots show me in % and time just from the deskbar batttery icon, and its pretty accurate...

rocknrollstar Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 sorry, I was more thinking if the battery is older and loses it's charge more quickly, so the taskbar battery indicator isn't always accurate. E.g. In a minutes time, some may drop30 mins life left.
RabbieBurns Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 speaking of battery life.. how does everyone compare? I get about 8 hours out mine... Sony Vaio TZ http://www.peninsulafm.com/battery2.png edit: and thats on wifi.. not measured it cabled yet
