DSapseid Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Hi, The school has got some money from somewhere to install a projector in the hall and to play music channels onto the screen during break & lunch to encourage the kids to be in the hall eating healthily. We already have a large electronic drop screen suspended above the stage. Solution needs to have the following: - Bright projector on ceiling - at a certain time projector turns on and screen drops - computer starts and starts showing a music channel from freeview - i can do this with scheduled tasks etc. - sound hooked into our existing sound system if possible. - plate at front of hall for teachers laptop. Oh and they want quotes by Friday!! Anyone recommend a supplier to come and do a site survey and get me a quote!! Cheers Dan

u8dmtm Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 We've just had a hall install by a company called PureAv (Pure AV | Home), 01772 457 520. They did a very professional job.
deKay Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Hi, The school has got some money from somewhere to install a projector in the hall and to play music channels onto the screen during break & lunch to encourage the kids to be in the hall eating healthily. We did exactly this a few years ago. Then some kids and few parents complained the school was exposing the pupils to filth (sexy music videos) and encouraging them to clock up massive phone bills (all the adverts for ringtones, etc.) so we had to stop. Now they just play CDs through the speakers.
OllieC Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 We have through the school radio (which i lead) in the past but slightly negative feedback was received from staff.... stuff like it created the wrong atmosphere for the time of the day lol. I'm looking to get some speakers in our large sheltered atrium area atm.
K.C.Leblanc Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Smarter Solutions Ltd Give them a call and ask for Martin Pakeman.
CSNM-Carl Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 How is playing a music video going to encourage kids to eat healthy? Most of them have ipods/iphones/mp3 players and mobile phones populated with music.
