Hi there, I'm a newbie here and would really appreciate some help!

In my school (primary) all of our projectors are ceiling mounted (also V high ceilings). Most projectors are now several years old and gradually starting to fail. Our LEA now only allows purchase of projectors which have a shorter throw and consequently cannot be used on our existing mounts. Does anyone know of a bracket that could be fitted to the existing mount to reduce the throw - we only need around 6-8"?

Any help gratefully received!

you can buy "arms" that enable you to move the projector closer or further away from the wall, i dunno how much they are but they are like an "L" shape, if that helps

Around here most places are replacing their whiteboards with attached short throw projectors, attached via an arm on the top of the IWB. Very handy, unless you're particularly tall (rubs head painfully). Certainly cuts out light interference too.

As for the mounts, you're pretty snookered - moving them will be just as costly as getting them replaced with new mounts in the right place. Best give some folks a call and get some prices arranged IMO.

thanks for speedy replies. We don't have to use lea but would be much easier due to sla etc. thanks for the link, it will give us another option.

The L shaped adapter also sounds like an option - i was hoping for something like that- ideally something where you could adjust the throw to cover any future issues! Thanks again.
