knightnets Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I just need a question answered, if anyone knows. I have now come across the problem with Adobe 9. so have removed it and installed Foxit instead, my question is this, does anyone know if SIMS requires adobe, as far as I am aware it is only used for that splash screen the first time a user upgrades. Any help gratefully received. Cheers

knightnets Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 As yet an error when a user first goes in, which I'm not worried about as it lets them into SIMS anyway, I was just trying to get some sort of confirmation that there is no more nastys in SIMS, that will stop hard working SIMS users from getting on with their daily lives.
bossman Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 @knightnets: It is also used for displaying the handbooks and stuff from the main page view called documentation, don't know whether it is fastened down to Adobe Reader or whether it is just a PDF reader that is required. 1

Any chance you can expand on that? "an error when the user first goes in" isn't very descriptive....
Sivadam Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 In the near future there will be the option of saving Reports in this format so that they can be displayed on SLG. No doubt any issues with formats will be addressed then.
