Heh, this is why "remote support" sucks

I'm in the kitchen yesterday evening, doing the washing up, and there's the plaintive cry "how do i stop this webcam popping up" (Mrs' lappy comes with crappy webcam s/w that pounces on you when you go anywhere near the left edge) - so of course I says "oh just turn it off"... "how"... "Er... I need to see it, can it wait till I am done washing up?"...

 

Eventually she figured it out herself. No doubt using the same flowchart

Of course, the proper response was "well, you come and do the washing up and I'll fix the computer"

 

ducks and runs to get away from flying objects :-)
