A challenge for you [ recover a word file ]

Attached is a word document in which I can only recover 3KB worth of Rich Text from a 918KB file.

I have used Office Recovery Ultimate 3.1 [ and tried the 3.2 demo of word ] but have not had any luck.......

Anyone care to give it a go..........please ?

 

Even getting just the text back would please the person concerned.

 

 

I have got as far as re-naming it as a .zip [ recovering that and then trying to get it back as a DOCX ]

890k odd of the file is images, another 20 odd is schemas - so it looks like the 3kb of text you got out is probably all that's left of the document part!

That's what I was thinking, anyway I have got back what I can in regards to the images and XML stuff so I think that will have to do....

Thinking laterally - Have you thought about checking the machine on which this document was created (if accessible) in terms of instead attempting a recovery from the temporary files that Word, Excel always create?
