Pinnacle Studio 9 reinstall

Greetings.

 

I have a Pinnacle 9 install issue. Several years ago, I purchased and installed Studio 9 and, in spite of frequent lock-ups and the like, it did what it was supposed to do. It burned DVDs

 

Since they my computer has crashed and I've had to reinstall everything. Studio installs, but it does not burn DVDs. When burning disks, it will only allow the selection of video CDs.

 

I've tried to reinstall it on another computer and the issue is the same: it will not burn DVDs.

 

Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, how does this get resolved?

when i installed pin studio i had to input codes to get extra features or something along those lines you might want to contact Pinnacle to see if this is the case.

I have all of the codes for unlocking MPEG-2 and additional codes that I paid for - like MPEG-4 and dolby sound and the like. Unfortunately, my passport number somehow changed during the install - and the e-mail address that I used when I activiated my account is no longer valid.

 

I've tired to contact PInnacle; however, they only provide support for current software - they stop at the last version prior to the current one, in this case, Studio 11.

 

Thanks again for your response. I'll try the code-entering thing again. Maybe I was just unlucky the first few times.

I have not been able to get it to work. All of the features that I had purchased, such as MPEG-2 andc MPEG-4, are tied to the password that they had assigned when I purchased them. When I reinstalled, I was assigned a new password. I see no way to change it and the Studio team won't communicate with me, except to give me a "special offer" for Studio 14.

 

Given the lack of technical response, I think I'll pass on the special offer
