This problem has been regulary cropping up on our Windows 7 test PCs with Server 2008 R2 DC. I've tried following the suggestions eventid.net and KB articles but I can't seem to stop this from happening. I've read many forum posts, articles and "fixes" but nothing is resolving the issue.

Occasionally it'll apply the group policies and everything will seem ok. But on a regular occasion policies aren't applied and I get this error in the event log of the client PC:

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \\broadoak.school\SysVol\broadoak.school\Policies\{C4974B7D-24D0-4636-8C26-403FB89DD41C}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved.

I can browse to NETLOGON but not the SYSVOL and GPUPDATE gives the same error. One other thing to note is the DC does have dual NICs which I heard might be an issue.

If anyone else has experienced this problem or if you have any suggestions it would be VERY much appreciated.

Thanks.
