[fog] How to Add boot images to the PXE Menu

I am looking to add some more options to FOG's PXE boot menu, more diagnostic tools and such. I found this here Include DSL - FOGWiki about adding DSL but what other types of images can you add or what do you need to convert ISO or floppy images?

I downloaded the ulimate boot CD and stole stuff off that. The dos tools needed putting into floppy disk images but other than that it was dead easy. As the UBCD uses syslinux as it's boot loader so the menu syntax is the same!

Using an updated memdisk I've managed to get a few iso's booting as a bit of fun. http://www.boot-land.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8258

 

There are restrictions as to what can be booted straight from iso though. http://diddy.boot-land.net/grub4dos/files/map.htm#hd32

i replaced memtest with the memdisk off bootland and ended up with this error

 

loading fog/memtest/memdisk....ready

memdisk 3.83 copyright etc

memdisk: no ramdisk image specified

 

what to do about this? er nevermind I mistakenly thought memdisk was supposed to do memtest as well lol

I found that ultimate boot CD booted off memdisk works on some machines. I was going to add a boot floppy image to it but that plan's a bit pointless if it wont work on everything.

 

All I wish is to be able to be able to boot into dos and autorun some maintenance stuff on the drive. scandisk,delprof, delete some local icons, stuff like that. It's either this or do it manually.

this *really* is rocket science and the more pages I read about it the more I see I'm completely out of my league.

I was cruising though the web looking for a .vbs for fog and ran into this fourm. Decided to register just to answer your questions! =)

p.s any DOS based application can be run under FOG with the proper parameters.
