I have been waiting for the wireless mighty mouse for a while but 50 quid (45 edu discount) seems steep.

Are there wireless alternatives that have 360 scrolling?

Although I'm a Mac fan, I'm not big on their mice. We've got some wired Mighty Mice on some Mac Mini's and I just can't get on with them for some reason! Actually using the 360 scroll is one of the things that annoys me and the optics are sluggish.

My personal fave is a MS IntelliMouse Explorer, they do a Bluetooth and a USB Wireless version, but you need to use the external reciever with that.

They don't have 360 scrolling but they do have 4 way scrolling which is just as good, and they have many buttons. Work's fine with a Mac too!

Having said that the wireless Mighty uses a Laser for tracking, it might be a very good mouse!

you could always go for a Logitech MX Laser... they do a bluetooth IIRC. It has a plethora of buttons, including 4-way scrolling.

Does it write all your scripts for you and make a cuppa cos if not then it ain't worth diddley squat?

what is it with Mac people they think cos they paid a fortune for the computer that any of the accessories should be just as costly?

Iv'e just paid 12 quid for a ten click 360 scroll laser wireless mouse;

but it is only for a mere PC awwww shucks forgot about that hehe

well it must be worth it then if it's for a Mac.....................................

what's that proverb go like....................ahhh yes

"a fool and his money" you know the rest i think ;)

It is the old arguement of design vs functionality.

I still prefer 5 button M$ optical wheelmouse ... but Mighty Mouse is ok but not good enough for when I am gaming.

Then again ... why to people with VW Beetles also by the accessories that go with them? The cult of the Mac is a powerful cult ... and those of us who are waiting to see what comes out of WWDC know how deeply you can get hooked.

@eejit: I have a 5-button optical wheelmouse as well as a Mighty Mouse (got at the same time as a Mac Mini, but Music also wanted a 5-button wheelmouse so they could assign extra actions to the extra buttons).

Given them both a try and now leave the Mighty mouse at work from when in case I forget to pack my M$ mouse (I still use a mouse with the MacBook ...)

Hey grumbledook i hear that apple have made in roads with MS to establish a co-ordinated effort on the protected memory front. They call it "macrosoft" but some people just call it Crap for short hehe lol :)

P.S Grumbledook just havin a bit of fun hope you don't mind not at your expense but just life in general. Hope it is taken that way but just couldn't resist with this £50 mouse lark OK
