I was just wondering if there's a way to display Cover Information within SIMS.net as soon as users log on?

 

At the moment we use NovaT for cover.

 

Suggestions welcome.

I may be wrong but I thought if the member of staff was on cover it appeared in their timetable bar.

Such that certain or all members of staff can see 'at a glance' what the cover situation is.

You can publish the Cover Summary to html and publish this on a shared drive or intranet.

Those on Cover have their assignment automatically written to their timeline on SIMS Homepage.

 

I would advise you to move from NT4 to Cover7 for September.

NT4 Cover is no longer supported by Capita and will be switched off in the not too distant future.

I echo Sivadam's comments: You need to stop using Nova T4 for cover and start using Cover 7 from the beginning of the academic year.

 

I'd get in touch with your local support unit to see if they can provide some 1:1 Cover 7 tuition for your cover supervisor over the holidays.

 

For the Cover 7 handbook, click on the Documentation button on the SIMS Home Page, then click Timetabling and Curriculum followed by Cover 7 in SIMS. The perfect seaside reading material!
