Server 2008 Password Policy

I'm about to update our DC's to server 2008 and i'm wondering what will happen to accounts that don't meet the 2008 default password policy. When I add the first 2008 DC ro our 2003 domain will it just inherit the current policy rather than forcing the 2008 default mixed case alfa numeric policy?

Are all your DC's going to be 2k8, if so when you move/create the users again cant you just reset the passwords? but to answer your question yes it will just inherit the current policy

As i'm adding the 2008 DC's to the current domain I shouldn't need to move or create any users (well I hope not )

 

I'm just thinking of odd service accounts and so on but if it inherits the current polict then I'm not worried.

You should be alright, i would of thought i never had any problems when i did this last year for a company.

 

Scrapped our 2 DC's/DHCP/DNS and Currently re-building all the main services now on win 2k8 incl SIMS, EXCHANGE etc
