Little-Miss Posted July 24, 2009 Author Posted July 24, 2009 Well funny you should say that....thats what my friend is convinced im trying to take over the world.........and i will, one network at a time! mwahahahaha
teejay Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Erm..no, slightly worried that i might have peaked early!! Surely only men do that:getmecoat: As for degraded status, I've learnt my lesson on that one to never transfer data or install a server until the raid array is fully built. Something to be aware of in future as most hdd failure are out of the box, probably due to the way couriers chuck them around in the back of the van:rolleyes:
Little-Miss Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 pants... Well, i needed to do a full backup before monday and that was my only option as all my other backup devices have died
teejay Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Don't worry about it, almost certain that it will have sorted itself out by Monday. Even if it hasn't, you've still got the data backed up onto one hard drive and so you can just get the faulty one swapped out, no need to get the whole unit replaced. If you are really worried then get the school to buy another hdd and stick it in your PC and take a copy of the data.
