acer-man Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 This offer of a loan machine also extends to the Aspire Ones and Desktops, with laptops I can't supply all units on demo but could send a sample unit. Hope that helps.

OutToLunch Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Refurbished one of our ICT rooms with L410s a few months back and they get a definite thumbs up from me - lovely little machines, pretty much silent and very nippy If you're tight on space they're a bargain! 1
acer-man Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 Price went up with my suppliers this morning on the N260G with Vista Business, it is now £222. Sorry! The XP Home varient has gone up in price also but I can hold the £160 at the moment.
dhicks Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Acer - Veriton N260G, Atom N280 1.66GHz, XP Home, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, no Optical Drive, CD Card, Keyboard & Mouse, 1 Yr RTB Warranty, Office Ready - £160. The N260 will mount to the back of any vista mount monitor. Er, VESA mount, even? A couple of those would do nicely for digital signage - how much is an XP Home N260G with delivery and VAT? -- David Hicks

I could have saved £60 if I'd ordered yesterday :-) We ordered two N260Gs, plus 19" widescreen monitors, yesterday, paid for standard delivery and the machines were here this morning. The machines work just fine - small enough to fit nicely with a monitor on a bench, quiet enough so that our shiny new staff work area stays nice and quiet, and performance seems perfectly fine for most anything that the average teacher is going to want to use them for. The built-in wireless will probably come in handy, too. They do, however, come with: 2007 MS Office System Acer eRecover Management Acer Product Registration Acer Screensaver Adobe Reader 9 Bsuiness Contact Management for Outlook Cyberlink Power DVD (this on a machine with no DVD drive, mind) Embassy Trust Suite eSobi V2 Google Desktop Google Toolbar Marvell Config McAfee Security Centre MS Office Web Components MS Office Primary Interop Assemblies MS Office Small Business Connectivity Components MS Office Activation MS SQL Server MS SQL Server Native Client MS SQL Server Support Files MS SQL Server VSS Writer which all need removing. -- David Hicks 1

If so tell me your order number and I will refund the difference. Richard
dhicks Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I am not aware of your order, did you order from Acer Outlet? If so tell me your order number and I will refund the difference. Yes, we ordered from Acer Outlet - order number 4999. I thought £220 was a pretty reasonable price for a PC, too, but it's fine if you want to give us some money back! Is there some different way we can/should be ordering from Acer Outlet? I simply used your website - put in our schools' credit card number, machines turned up next day. -- David Hicks

I owe you some money your next order, yes paying by credit card is the best way to pay in my eyes! Please phone me when you are ready to next order I would be more than happy to give you a discount on your next order. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Richard
Little-Miss Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) So, they powerful enough to run for example the promethean software and some basic edu software? This could be what i need for the couple of rooms where their machines are on their last legs.. Any discount for 9 machines? Edited September 25, 2009 by Little-Miss
acer-man Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 aww gutted, i liked the old price of £160... So, they powerful enough to run for example the promethean software and some basic edu software? Don't be gutted! The £160 was the XP Home version which is still fine (might even be cheaper!) The new price is the XP Pro £190 is much lower than before!! They are perfect for running a white board and basic software, in fact we have one here running our accounts system without any problems at all. Given their size and being wall/monitor mountable as well as great energy usage they are perfect machines for the classroom. If you want to test one I can offer a 7 day trial but at this price I would need to ask you to cover the courier cost £10 each way if you didn't want to keep the unit. I hope you understand my need to charge for this. Thanks Richard

dhicks Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Just thought I'd quickly post a couple of images of the Acer Veriton machine in our new staff work area. I'm impressed with the amount of space they don't take up - they can tuck right up against the wall, leaving plenty of space for people to work if they don't happen to want to use a machine at the moment. -- David Hicks 1
acer-man Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 Thanks for the order David, glad you like them! There is more in stock for anyone who wants them! Thanks again Richard
Little-Miss Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 thanks for that... im still deciding. My budget is slowly vanishing before my eyes.
