OutToLunch Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 You haven't given any info at all about what components you wish to retain so that's a bit of a how long is a piece of string question. If you're keeping costs down, why not go for one of the nice refurb PCs from ICT Direct - they've been a life saver for us and a lot more economical than a motherboard bundle if you consider the cost of your time in rebuilding a basic cheap as chips PC, troubleshooting bad drivers on cheap motherboards etc. They currently have HP DC7600 Small Form Factor - 3.4GHz HT, 2Gb RAM, 80GB HDD, 2 year RTB warranty @ £137 - the warranty alone for me beats the hassle of throwing random cheap components together and hoping they'll work.

The existing power is only 300w, small hd and the mobo is a p2. The ta's will be running Office with some associated braille software plus some fairly basic graphics kit.
