Pinnacle Studio Pro 11 recover lost project/ backup

A friend just lost a major project in Studio Pro v11

 

Her PC blue screened and on reboot she was prompted to recover the file by studio. It appeared to be in tact when the program asked her to save. After saving the timeline had gone.

 

There's a folder full of edits, looks like 500 odd files, and the original .avi's are there.

 

Is there any way to salvage the project? She says it's about 2 weeks work.

 

 

Also, is there a problem with saving the project under different names periodically through a project? She seemed to think that there's a problem with this at production stage. As far as I could see Studio only creates an stx file and a small project folder for each instance.
