plexer Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 I suppose what I like with the powerpoint idea is that you can provide a template for slides for people to use and what fonts/sizes/colours etc... to use and anyone could create new content then they could save it to s staging folder that you check the content and if it all looks ok add it to the main presentation that will get updated. So you can split the screen into sections as well. Ben

I don't have the time to change these so if someone can do basic generic replacements it would be appreciated. Authentication. There is none at the moment as I use iis authentication to lock it down. More dynamic interaction ... it is very boring at the moment. It is based on textarea at the moment ... I did have a play with HTMLarea a while ago but was never happy with it. TechMonkey Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 This is something I looked at a while back for a new Head of IT that came in. Made an ASP/DB system that included showing what week letter it was (A or B), info for today, tommorow, the week and club information. Only reason it didn't get used was because of finding places to hide machines and mount monitors and then having spare machines to run it. I'd be willing to post that up too if people want it, after a tidy up.

TechMonkey Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Well here's my effort. Bit rough and ready but seems to work. Layout is optimised for IE I'm afraid but I might take this up again and rework it. Main drawback is it has no handle for over flow, so if there are too many or too big items they just fall off. Includes our strange assembly system and alternate week naming.
