Specialist software

Hi, I need a piece of software for a pupil with physical disabilities. He is in a wheelchair and only has the use of one arm. I need a piece of software which enables him to draw maths shapes, use protractors and rulers etc. Basically to use tools which an able bodied child can use, i.e compasses, protractors etc to make shapes.

 

Is there anything out there which we can load on to his laptop?

You do all this with ActivPrimary (and presumably ActivStudio), but you are only supposed to use this software on machines that are used in conjunction with a Promethean IWB.

Check the license, last time I investigated (which was several years ago) you could use the software on any machine that didn't have a non-Promethian pen-based input device on - so you couldn't simply load it up on a Tablet PC or a PC with a drawing tablet attached, but just using it on a PC with a mouse is fine. I belive you can now buy hardware dongles for a pretty reasonable price to allow you to use the software on any machine you like, too.
