shane-meh Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Hi All We have a teaching account we use here that all staff use. We want to have the screensaver and standby disabled when that account is logged in as it causes problems with staff playing videos or long powerpoints etc. We want this specific to the account so when the account is logged off the screensaver and standby still work on other users and when not logged in. Any ideas? Many Thanks
BJG Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Maybe you could use a logon/logoff script with commands to enable and disable them. Eg, enable/disable screensaver: Using registry shortcuts to disable and enable screen savers in Windows XP Question about Windows XP Screen Saver, Power Manager and Command Line Interface - Operating Systems Manage power saving: Powercfg Command-Line Options
dtakias Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Also you could use the EZ GPO Tool . It does power settings by user and computer... cheers
