Bootable antivirus / spyware

I was wondering is there any software people can reccomend that can run a virus scan from a CD before windows boot, and the same for anti-spyware.

 

And the same while in windows that leaves no trace and easily be able to just replace the defination file, if i use a CD-RW.

a bart pe disc ( obviously adding the relevant plugins etc )

 

Bart's Preinstalled Environment (BartPE) bootable live windows CD/DVD

 

The PE Builder program (pebuilder.exe) runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003/BartPE. It does not run on Windows NT4/ME/9x.

 

And also apparently it does not run or work with vista ( think they are working on that but not sure if they have resolved that yet ? )
