To provide technical advice and support to staff and students on the use of all teaching and administrative ICT systems and to support the maintenance of hardware and the administrative control of ICT asets as guided by the Network Manager.

 

A knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 & 2007 and windows networks, including XP, is required together with basic skills to support hardware maintenance and software installations and a willingness to learn new ICT skills.

 

Working hours: Full time (37 hrs per week, 52 weeks per year)

 

NJC Scale D1 (£12629 to £16278 pa)

Opened in 1956-1957, the Hundred of Hoo is named after the Saxon Hundreds and the parish of Hoo St Werburgh, in which the village is located. Each parish was expected to provide 100 soldiers for the King in Saxon times, when required! Its secondary school now provides education for nearly 1,800 boys, girls, young men and women aged 11-19. The village of Hoo is one of half a dozen on the Isle of Grain, on the Hoo Peninsula situated between the Thames and Medway. It is also close to Strood, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham (the Medway Towns), which have a population of 250,000, due to expand significantly in the future as part of the Thames Gateway.
