lionsl2005 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 hi in our admin network previous comapany installed symantec antivirus. but this update was dissabled. when i try to unstall it is password protected. unfortunately non of the staff know the password. how do i unstall the program without knowing the password? any tools?

When I last had to uninstall Symantec AV, the default password for uninstall was either: symantec or Symantec Have you tried these? 1
Jamo Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 if the symantec/norton removal tool can remove what you have installed I would try that, no password needed just admin access. Search for it on symantec.com 1
