Intel 945 display drivers

I'm having a little problem that i hope someone can help with, i have Windows 7 running in VMware on my laptop, it all works well except the display driver, it is using the standard driver. I have done some googleing, and found that if i right click the setup file for the vista driver i should be able to install it using compatibility mode, but the compatibility settings on the tab are greyed out. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to install some drivers for this as i can't use my display correctly as a wide screen display.

If it's inside VMWare I'd have expected it to be using VMWare's display drivers not the physical hardware's ones.

 

Have you installed the VMWare Tools?
