rob998 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Not sure if this is the correct section We have a VoIP solution installed in school. Now we have several DDI numbers attached to phones. One of the DDI numbers was used for a fax machine. I can't for the life of me find the config on the mitel switch to attach the now free DDI to another extension. Hopefully someone out there can help me If you need anymore info just give me a shout. Thanks
Spitfire Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 You have to log into the "Ops manager", Configuration,Directory Management, Moves adds & changes editor and delete the account then create the new account.
rob998 Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Sorry mate but I don't see any of that when I login. I have found directory management but see nothing in there that rings a bell on how to do this. The 3 options I get when browsing to the webpage are desktop tool, group admin and system admin.
Spitfire Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Sound like you're logging into the "Enterprise Manager, when you initially get the logon box after user name and password there should be a drop down box when you can pick up "Ops manager only", this is where you need to be.
rob998 Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 No drop down box here. I have even tried using a pc with IE6 and 7 on just to make sure it IE8 wasn't missing it out on my laptop.
rob998 Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Just realised its some software i'm missing! I will have to dig out the CD. Unless there is a way I can do it through the web interface?
Spitfire Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 The way in via the web interface is, click on "System Administration", go to left hand side and click on "System Admin" in the drop down, scroll down to "Telephone Directory Management" then User Configuration. Search for the extension. then you can do all your changes
rob998 Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Sorry I cannot see anything within the User Config to change DDI numbers.
Spitfire Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Sorry mate, if I am correct you are now into un-chartered territory with me, as it's System Configuration and that is best left to the firm who hold your Maintenance Contract. 1
BaccyNet Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 OPS Manager is an additional software option (I believe), I'm unfortunate enough not to be able to afford it here (could only just afford the Mitel!!) Depending on how your system is setup depends on where this needs to be changed. For example, my faxes are attached to the analog panel wired to the 3300. To change this number, login to the web interface and then: Click System Administration Tool Select System Configuration Select Devices Select Analog Telephones Select Analog Set Assignment Then on my system it shows the two analog lines with their numbers assigned. Again this may differ on your system, but hopefully will point you in the right direction.
