Hi,

Bought this Acer Aspire for the school in March and it hasnt been used much at all so i've claimed it :D. Last night i realised that its only running on AC Power. In the power meter box the battery has a red x through it and says 0%. I've tried all the obvious but it looks like maybe the charging circuit has gone. Anymore suggestions.

I havent spoken to my supplier yet, they may be able to help. But if not, what are Acer like for support?

Thanks x

It sounds like the battery has discharged and is refusing to charge again, have you tried the battery in a different unit and the charger also, if not as you only brought this in march i would contact your supplier and ask them to deal with as Acer support is not that helpful we have previously taken the burden from the end user and delt with them after a struggle,

Does the unit actually function without the AC Adapter connected?

I'm asking because it's not unusual for software to misinterpret (or completely miss) power related status on mobile devices.
