sLiDeR Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I keep having to repair my internet connection with MacBook each time I switch it on & connect to the wireless box. Fine on my other windows box. Any ideas?? Also, im new to the life of MAC. Any one have any good links for Leopard OS manuals etc?? Many thanks
HodgeHi Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 What differences are there between the two? If there are differences such as proxy settings and stuff such as static DNS entries, Ip address and others, then it may be worth configuring locations. Locations allow you to set different settings for your network connections and then save them into a sort of profile i.e. work, Home etc. Then you can switch between them on the fly. It does actually work really well.

HodgeHi Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Yep. macs can handle wpa(PSK)2 (I use it at home) fine. Although there may be a problem with the hardware compatibility but if it works after the repair then that may not be the case. What problem does it find on the Internet connection?
sLiDeR Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 Usual 'Unable to connect to 'Robin_Home' Please check connection'. Im at work so cant remember exact wording!! Ill have a look at the router tonight.
