MAC Air Port Prob

I keep having to repair my internet connection with MacBook each time I switch it on & connect to the wireless box.

 

Fine on my other windows box.

 

Any ideas??

 

Also, im new to the life of MAC. Any one have any good links for Leopard OS manuals etc??

What differences are there between the two? If there are differences such as proxy settings and stuff such as static DNS entries, Ip address and others, then it may be worth configuring locations. Locations allow you to set different settings for your network connections and then save them into a sort of profile i.e. work, Home etc. Then you can switch between them on the fly. It does actually work really well.

Yeah tried that to no effect!

 

Its using wpa2 encryption. Surely Macs can handle this?

Yep. macs can handle wpa(PSK)2 (I use it at home) fine. Although there may be a problem with the hardware compatibility but if it works after the repair then that may not be the case.

 

What problem does it find on the Internet connection?

Usual 'Unable to connect to 'Robin_Home' Please check connection'.

 

Im at work so cant remember exact wording!!
