Dell Mini 10

Anyone got a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 laptop?

I'm thinking of getting one as soon as they come out with Ubuntu - which should have been last Friday !

My advice would be to try and get your hands on one to try before you buy. We have a couple of Mini 9s and I don't like the keyboard compared to my Latitude D630 - it feels flimsy and cheap, even compared to other netbooks, and is really not up to the same standard as Dell's Inspiron or Latitude keyboards.

 

Bear in mind I haven't used a Mini 10 myself yet but from product photos the keyboard looks very similar to the 9s.

This is where good, old-fashioned computer shops can't be beaten - you need somewhere you can go in and have a go at typing on a keyboard. John Lewis is good for this, you can go and have a play on all the machines and see which you prefer.

I just got a mini 12, and although they're not tiny, it still feels like a netbook - ultra portable. It has a full size keyboard too

 

Would definitely recommend, and the wireless range is immense!
