I currently have a test course on my newly developed moodle VLE, located in the miscellaneous catagorie.

What i want to know is, how can i break this course down further? Im preferably looking for about 4 hiarachial tiers but i dont know if moodle will do this.

Couple of options:

 

1. Create a meta-course (This would be your top tier) and add the sub-courses/topics as child courses

2. Try a different course format, perhaps the accordian course formart

Id steer towards the metacourse options and see if that meets your needs, the accordian format just allows topics within a course to be displayed in a different (I believe) better way.
