thesk8rjesus Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I have been given the task of videoing a concert that we are holding at the school, and projecting it onto a screen behind the singers. But and heres where the problem is, i want to have a live feed from the camera on the mac 'fullscreen' and i can't for the life of me find a program that will do it. Then to make the problem even worse i need the porgram to be use able with spaces as i wish to show a video between songs. does anybody know of anyway that i can do this?
polaris Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Hi, What sort of camera? We did help a school a year or so back that used our recording application to do this. We loaned them three Panasonic IP cameras, these were displayed on a PC/Projector as small individual windows. Our application is Windows only I am afraid, but the "panes" with the camera view can be the only thing you see... the main window background can be whatever you like. You can also drag them around and also maximise/minimise from the main application which could be on a second or third monitor output so that's not seen on the broadcast image. We also loaned some clip on brackets so they could position the cameras on the set so to speak. The actors then acted to the cameras....it was a nice effect. The play was "journeys end" I think. If this is an idea then PM me. CB
thesk8rjesus Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 sounds good, but we don't have any money left in our budget at the momment and we have the concert on friday, any ideas of mac software that will just show a Sony HD Camera connected via Firewire 400 fullscreen and then let me swap to and from a video.

RabbieBurns Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 my mate does visual projections behind the DJ in nightclubs, and one of the things he has is a camera in front of the DJ, and then adds in videos, effects etc etc the software he uses is called Resolume Resolume VJ Software - Live Digital Motion Graphics Possibly overkill for what you want, but its an awesome bit of kit.
polaris Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I was offering it for free, not trying to sell you anything.....:) CB
