MONTGOMERY PRIMARY SCHOOL

Network Manager

£18,217- £23,405

 

36.5 hours per week. We are looking for an organised and proactive individual to support the IT infrastructure and users across the school. You must be able to provide first line support to staff and students and have an understanding of Windows XP operating systems. The ability to trouble-shoot hardware and have basic networking knowledge is essential. RM CC3 knowledge is desirable. The school has just commenced a major update project which will provide a fully managed wireless network throughout the site. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an educational environment and has good interpersonal, fault finding and diagnostic skills. Duties will include network management, general troubleshooting, help-desk monitoring, hardware and software maintenance, general ICT administration tasks as well as supporting staff with their use of ICT.

Find out what they are doing with VLE and bone up on it. If you get to an interview this is going probably be a key issue.

I have been trying to do some research on the school itself, and they dont even have a website!

 

I presume they do not have a VLE, so i gathered this might be a KEY issue! thankfully one of my main area's of work at the moment is doing our VLE and VLP

I'm also working on the VLE & VLP. It seems to be a major focus for schools at the moment.
