HP Color LaserJet 3700

Hi Everyone,

 

Our Art department uses the above named printer (HP Color LaserJet 3700n).

 

However recently it has started to display some really odd behaviour. When, for example, I send a test page through to print, the printer will produce 20 copies (approximately). Similarly when a student or a member of staff attempts to print, the printer will randomly generate multiple copies of the original document.

 

Has anyone come across this before? (And before anyone says anything, it's not just kids printing multiple copies!! :-) ).

Most printers have an inbuilt function to print multiple copies of anything sent to it. Print out a menu map, it should confimr weather or not your printer has this feature.

found the setting! Someone has managed to set the printer to print over 18000 copies per job! Safe to say that it has now been reduced to 1. Hope this gets rid of the problem!
